Life drawing the female form last week at #WASH, #charcoal, #figuredrawing, #drawing, #PSST,20 minute sketch, vine to compressed charcoal. Next week’s goal is to draw the figure with a minimum of contour lines. Working on honing my drawing skills❤️

Challenging foreshortening this particular model session. I was also being mindful of the quality/variety of marks. This is a 20 minute pose.

Lots of curious folks asking questions about pastels yesterday at the Portrait Society of America (Houston Branch) Face Off.

Back in the studio after attending the PPSCC For Pastels Only Opening. This is a national show. Nancie King Mertz was the Juror of Awards and the work in the show is outstanding! To start my day I have just revisited an unfinished pastel.
