These beautiful flowers were grown at Moonrose Farm in Rehoboth, MA which is just a 30 minute drive from my studio. On a gorgeously blue sky sunny day, a group of us stood in a field at Moonrose. Four trestle tables with buckets of freshly cut spring flowers awaited us. The smell of the fresh fields was incredible, the wind was light and the chicken coup clucking productively to our far left was a reminder to purchase fresh eggs before heading home. This was a flower arranging class where guidance was given by the farmer herself. The arrangement you see was the result of a truly enjoyable afternoon for me and it speaks to the creativity of New England farmers when it comes to sustainable local production of food and plant life, creating employment and their sense of community outreach. Who knew a simple arrangement of flowers would say so much, could make such a difference, would be a true delight.
