Riding Shotgun

When our kids were about ages 9 and 8 they would compete to sit in the front seat of the car. Remember those days? Kids no longer needing booster seats and able to see over the dashboard, feeling all grown-up, sitting up front. That is the thought that popped into my head as I was setting up this contemporary still life. Yup, this little guy is ‘Riding Shotgun’ on the cotton reel.
